Mak's Chee have their very first store in One Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya. They offer a wide range of product, not just wonton only! Yet, their wonton noodle, called "Sai Yung" is really authentic that you will nearly smell Hong Kong!

Mak's Chee is a restaurant that focus much on the original taste. They are using the receipe passed down from their sifu and the receipe even aged about 90 years. How strong are their background? The history part will give you a "Wow".

History
Mak's Chee Authentic Wonton dates back to 1920s Guangzhou, China. Master Mak Woon Chee had created one of the most popular noodle stalls across the city - Chee Kee [池记]. At that old time and today, port wonton was the most common wonton. To make themselves outstanding, Chee decided to create his own fresh prawn wonton.
The war forced Chee to move to Hong Kong as all his stall in Guangzhou was gone in the war. Chee then pass his business to his son, Mak En to carry on the noodle business in Hong Kong. They soon become very famous in HK. In 1980s, Mak En officially pass his family receipe and skills to his lineal descendent, founder of Mak's Chee Authentic Wonton Malaysia.

Ofcourse, they not only selling wonton. They did offer rice set. They have quite many choice of beef rice set [Compare to other "Char Chan Teng"]. If you like beef cooking in HK style, like 牛腩, Mak's Chee might be great for you!

Being authentic does not means being outdated!
Muscular Champion Milk Tea

Talking about Hong Kong food, how can we forget about the Milk Tea [奶茶]?!
Mak's Chee is launching a limited edition Muscular figured bottle that filled with Champion Milk Tea from 5th Dec 2016 to 28th Feb 2017. The bottle is so cute! And the colour of the milk tea make the muscle man have the perfect skin colour [古铜色?] Haha. Why I like this so much?
1. the milk tea taste is really nice. (How nice? Read further.)
2. the bottle is cute and instragramable. Of course must take more nice picture with it! Is 6 Packs!
3. Bring the bottle back and set at home. To motivate boyfie.
4. Nice feel in touching the 6 packs. [This is a joke!]

Ok, forget about the bottle, let's focus on the champion milk tea. To be honest, the taste of the tea is really smooth, not too sweet, carrying a bitter taste. I had my cold muscular champion milk tea. With my first sip, the first thing that surprise me is the sweetness level. It is not too sweet as HK "naicha" don't really use our sweeten condensed milk. The sweetness is control so perfectly that make it do not taste "only sweet" and it just stand at the point that you can taste the bitterness and not get diabetes.
Why there is bitterness?
Mak's Chee wanted to make their tea so perfect so they have used Sri Lankan Ceylon Tea. During the testing and invention period, they did a hard work to find the perfect taste. Finally they found what they looking for by brewing the tea by top quality highland Ceylon tea leaves (Broken Orange Pekoe, Broken Orange Pekoe Fannings and DUST). The quality of tea leaves that they choose have cause the bitterness. This bitterness also a signature of the Hong Kong style milk tea.

The champian milk tea is available all the time in cold and hot version. But the Muscular bottle version will only be available for the mentioned period.

Cheesy Wonton

Another limited edition gorgeous! A cheese fever fans like me? Put your hands up if you are.
This wonton is SO SATISFYING. because it is PRAWN Wonton with CHEESE!
Close your eyes and imagine, the wonton skin is wrapping fresh sea prawn and add in the Mozzerella & Cheddar cheese. Then the wonton is put into hot oil to deep fry. Picking it up, it is in golden colour now. Take a bite, "Croppppppp croooopppp" Ah~~so crispy outside and the prawn is so juicy while the cheese created a line and dont want to let you go. OMG!
